Your action figure

by Maike Moncayo,

With Omote 3D our narcissistic culture, ubiquitous in the era of web 2.0., has reached a new excellency. This 3D printer made in Japan is the futuristic take on the classic photo booth. But instead of printing black and white photographs on paper, this machine sculpts 10 to 20 centimeter figures, or, so to say, a toy version of yourself. After submitting you to a 15 minute scanning process, you are ready to stage your own remake of “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids!” (if you’re old enough to remember this classic sunday movie, of course.)
