Rethinking jewellery design with Erin Considine

by Maike Moncayo,

Since 2009 Erin Considine creates unique handmade jewellery pieces that reflect her skill as a metalsmith, but even more so, her willingness to experiment and to push the bounderies of her craft. By exploring different techniques such as weaving, crocheting and Japanese braiding as work tools, she surely has taken jewellery design to the next level. Passionate about sustainable production forms, Erin creates her exquisite objects from repurposed materials such as dead-stock jewellery finds and natural fiber in her New York studio.
