Naif, bucolic, naturalism, romanticism, mysticism, art, peace, craft, photography, design; is what gifted Ana Kras inspired us.
Coming from Serbia, when Ana Kras had graduate from the University of Applied Arts in Belgrade, she moved into The States, and from so on she hasn’t stopped: illustrating for big magazines such as Vice, making musical videos, taking photos and designing furniture and accessories. She is also well-known for be the girlfriend of the musician and visual artist Devendra Banhart.
Even though she is above all known for her photographies, she now catch us with her beautiful and honest handmade objects. Bonbons, knited and metal wide lanterns; Hive lamp, floor lamp; Ksilofon, wardrope; Hug chair, wood chair; Noddle and Moon tables, little tables; these are the objects Ana has shown at fair’s design Collective 1 in New York and also at Mondo’s Cane gallery, among the tops, as Charlotte Perriand.
It’s told that Ana Kras was called by an European magazine to photograph Banhart. Within five minutes, he asked her to marry him, even since they have been together, and now we do understand why.
